First Baptist Church Tijeras is a family-oriented, rural Church
At FBC Tijeras, we love to study and apply the teachings of Jesus Christ to our daily lives.  Our church is located in Tijeras, a welcoming mountain town where we enjoy a quiet peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city while worshiping at a country pace.  We offer Bible Study classes for all stages of life, children’s ministry, a music/praise environment featuring both contemporary and traditional music, as well as several opportunities to serve our local East Mountain community.
We warmly offer you an invitation to visit us at our place of worship, and to come just as you are.  Whether you are in search of answers, are a new believer, or have been a Christian for many years, you will have a home at FBC Tijeras!
We invite you to join us on Sunday Mornings
for Worship Service at 10:00AM

Experiencing, Proclaiming, and Extending God’s Love to our World

From the top of the picturesque Sandia Mountains to the quiet whisper of the winds through the Bosque, we are able to experience God in everything around us.  Join us on a journey where we study God and experience His majesty in our everyday lives!

When we walk in Fellowship with our Lord, and experience happiness beyond all compare as a child of God, it is impossible not to proclaim the joy that we have to the outside world.  At our church we proudly proclaim that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord or Lords!

While experiencing the awesome wonder of God and proclaiming our love for Him, we are dedicated to extending the love and grace that God has shown us to the rest of the world.  We extend to you an invitation to be a part of our family, the Family of God!

Where can God use your talents?

We have an enthusiastic worship team that features both contemporary and traditional music.  If you have a passion for helping others experience a vibrant worship service, and have an interest in participating in either instrumental or vocal music, we want to hear from you!

We have an active ministry to provide much needed food for children in our local East Mountain community.  We regularly pack lunches for these kids to take home on the weekends, and are always in need of additional food and help preparing the lunch bags.

We have an active children’s ministry, where kids learn firsthand the love and hope promised by God’s word.  We also operate a Sunday children’s nursery during Bible Study and Worship Service.  If you have a love for children, and are interested in volunteering, please let us know!

Our worship services utilize a variety of audio/visual technologies in order to encourage full and active worship of our Lord.  We also use a variety of web-based technologies for outreach in the local community.  If you have an interest in helping with these A&V or technology ministries, we would love to hear from you!

Our church facilities, such as the worship center and fellowship hall, require regular upkeep on a weekly basis.  We have need for volunteers to help in a variety of roles including maintenance, custodial services, and kitchen duties.  Please let us know if you have an interest in contributing to this important ministry!

An important ministry for extending God’s love to our local East Mountain community is through the operation of our local Food Pantry.  If you have an interest in volunteering to provide food for our community (the pantry operates multiple days per week), please let us know!
