Weekly Church Update

Good Wednesday Morning Church Family,

Well, June is half over and Father’s Day is this coming Sunday.  I hope you will plan something special for your father, grandfather, or father-figure this week. Our East Mountain Food Pantry needs contributions of food or money.  This has been a stressful time for many families, and the food supplies are low.  Pat has put a box out for food collection so that you can bring it with you on Sunday morning.  You can also drop off your contributions during the week. Sammie Hutchison is making good progress with her eye surgery and we hope that she will be home soon.  She and Dan need our continued prayers during her recovery.  They had good news on their house in Clovis:  there is a contingency offer on the home.  That is a praise! Leon Aschbacher’s memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. here at the church.  There will be a reception to follow. We have postponed Vacation Bible School for now.  We may decide to do it later in the summer. Attention ladies, they still have spots for the Thursday Women’s Bible Study.  It is at 2:00 p.m. each Thursday on-line.  If you would like to be a part, please contact Rose or the church office. This is another reminder about our Sunday morning service telecasts.  WE ARE OPEN and can have up to 25% capacity so if you want to attend, please do so and if you feel you need to stay home, please watch on-line.  If you attend, remember that we have the camera in the center seating area, so if you do not want to be on camera during the telecast, please plan to sit on the side sections or at the back of the center section. Thank you, church, for being faithful in your tithes and offerings, we have been truly blessed.  Remember, you can give by on-line, mail, or dropping it off at the church on Sunday or through the week. We have continual prayer requests and praises here at FBCT.  You can put your prayer request on the prayer line (prayer@fbctijeras.com) or the prayer wall (www.fbctijeras.com/prayer).  You can also call me and I will do it for you if you prefer.  Also feel free to join the Thursday night prayer time on-line.  For info on that, please call me. Please continue to pray for our church family, our community, our leaders, our country, and our world.

In His Love,

Pastor Alan

Weekly Church Update

Good Wednesday Morning Church Family,

We are open!  If you feel you want to come on Sundays, we are OK with that, as we can have 25% of our capacity in attendance.  If you feel you need to stay home, that is OK also.  You can still watch and be a part on-line.  Do what you think is best for you and yours.

I hope you all are having a great week and everyone’s power is restored.  That was some wind event!  We now have Arizona‘s top soil and Texas has ours.

Sammie’s eye surgery went very well.  Now she has an extended time of healing, and Sammie and Dan appreciate your continued prayers for her.

Father’s Day is June 21.  I hope you will plan a special day of remembrance and thanks for your dad, grandfather, and other father figures.  God gave each dad a special responsibility to care for his earthly family, patterned after our Father’s care for us as His family.

We are deciding what to do about Vacation Bible School, which was scheduled for July 6-10.  We don’t know what the current restrictions will be by that time, so we must decide whether to re-schedule it or do a large Back to School extravaganza.    We will decide by Sunday.

As you know, we telecast our Sunday morning worship service and by the way, we are reaching people all over the world with the Gospel of Christ.  The camera is located in the center seating section.  We try not to show anyone on that camera, so if you do not want to be seen on camera during worship service, please plan to sit in the side or back sections of the sanctuary.  We make every effort to protect your privacy.

Thanks to Rick for mowing and making our property look good.  Thanks to Mike Reed, Joe, David and Dom for helping after church Sunday, that was tough work.

If you have prayer requests, please list them on prayer@fbctijeras.com or on the church prayer wall (fbctijeras.com/prayer).  And, if you would rather, I will do it for you.  You can e-mail me for any reason at pastor@fbctijeras.com or call me.

Remember to please pray for each other, our church, community, country, and world.  I miss you all.

In His Love,

Pastor Alan
