6/24/2020 – Wednesday Weekly Update

Good Wednesday Morning FBCT Family,
I hope you had a great Father’s Day last week.  If you want to hear any Sunday sermon, go to our website (www.fbctijeras.com).  Dom posts the Sunday sermon each week for your convenience. Leon Aschbacher’s celebration of life service will be this Saturday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m.  The East Mountain Jug Band will play from 1:40 to 2:00 p.m.  The service will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors.  You are invited to stay for lunch afterward.  If you can, please bring a dessert to share. We are waiting for a lot of things:  waiting to see if we can go to 100% seating capacity, waiting to see if we will have a Fall VBS, waiting to see if New Mexico will re-open anytime soon.  We are sad that the Balloon Fiesta is cancelled, and expect that the State Fair will be cancelled too.  Let’s keep praying that this ends soon. Dom posts links each week for you to follow in order to join the Prayer Meeting online.  We have moved it from Thursday evenings to Wednesday evenings. We are thrilled that Sammie Hutchison is making great progress with her eye surgery and it was great seeing her in church Sunday. The East Mountain Food Pantry needs food and money donations.  There is a box at the front of the sanctuary, so please bring your food items with you on Sunday. You can give money donations to Sammie. Also remember Feed the Kids.  We will need your support when school starts.  For donations you can see Rose. You can also donate to the Food Pantry online.  The church has activated our online giving now, and you can earmark your donation or send your tithe to the church.  Of course, you can also mail your offering (P.O. Box 58, Tijeras) or drop it off during the week. We have ongoing prayer requests and praises in this church.  We have a prayer request for Jackie Putney’s friend’s sister Noell, who has surgery scheduled for aggressive breast cancer.  Also please remember to pray for our church, our community, our country, our leaders, and our world.

In His Love,

Pastor Alan
